CIRPs Receive Outstanding Volunteer Award
CAIRP is pleased to announce the latest recipients of its Outstanding Volunteer Award (OVA), bestowed this fall. Geoff Orrell, CIRP of Sands & Associates Inc. (Burnaby) and Jean-Daniel Breton, CIRP, of Ernst & Young Inc. (Montreal) were recognized for their exceptional service to the Association, and specifically to the Exam Boards governing the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional Qualification Program (CQP, formerly NIQP). The awards were presented by members of the CAIRP Honours and Awards Nominating Committee during two separate local insolvency events.
Nominations
Each year the HANC Committee accepts and reviews nominations for several distinguished awards. Nominations for the esteemed Fellowship will be accepted before March 31, 2011. The deadline for Keith G. Collins Memorial Award nominations is May 31, 2011. Members will receive a Call for Nominations reminder in February 2011.
Nominations for the OVA may be submitted any time throughout the year. Nominees may include non-members of the Association. Members wishing to recognize an individual who has excelled in their service to CAIRP are invited to submit the nominee’s name for consideration.
The Association depends on the support and contribution of volunteers and encourages members to talk to volunteers about their experiences.
